Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and driven individual whom is able to organise and co-ordinate a wide range of tasks within tight timescales, to work under pressure, show initiative and play an important role in the effective organisation and management of the speciality and care group.
To support the operational day to day running of the Ophthalmology Specialty :
- To ensure accurate and robust rotas are prepared and maintained for site based Junior Doctors (using the DRS computerised system) and Consultants. To ensure the completion of CMF and AGN's to increase or reduce capacity appropriately. To organise and facilitate the clinical staffing induction programme.
- To provide day-to-day line management support to the Medical Secretary Supervisor across all sites, providing leadership for supporting administration staff - including management of leave absences, sickness monitoring, appraisals, performance management and promotion of effective working
- To provide day-to-day line management support to the waiting list coordinators across all sites, providing leadership for supporting administration staff - including management of leave absences, sickness monitoring, appraisals, performance management and promotion of effective working practices. Adhering to the 6-4-2 report, in keeping with the booking and utilising theatre
- To act as point of contact for the site-based specialty team in relation to operational issues
