Job summary

The Information Department are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join their innovative, award winning team as an Information Business Partner.

Working with your team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering information services to a significant part of the Trust's business, ensuring that high quality reporting & analysis is available to support the delivery of services. You'll join a Care Group senior leadership team and maintain a portfolio of work to support their goals - acting as a local expert and generating insight.

You'll work with our informatics team to develop your own skills, and promote a culture of learning and development.

Main duties of the job

Building and maintaining good working relationships with service users across the Trust, proactively communicating findings and encouraging utilisation of data for business decision-making.

Providing leadership and management of the Business Intelligence Unit, and wider Information Department.

The accurate and timely delivery of any key performance reporting that fall under the purview of the BI Lead's work area. For example, the national reporting against 4 Hour compliance for A&E attendances

Relationship Management Business Partnering

Regularly meet with the Care Group leadership team to understand their business priorities and offer analytical support, this will involve the communication of negative and positive information to stakeholders and can manage their expectations.

Present complex analysis to non-informaticians, including board members.

Lead on business planning processes for the Care Group services, ensuring data meets published national guidance.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers, system users, systems administrators, information analysts and support staff.

Business Intelligence

Responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of complex analytical tasks.

Responsible for ensuring regular reports are accurately maintained, and undertakes regular audits to ensure reporting remains fit for purpose.

Required to interpret and resolve highly complex statistical/information problems where there is no precedent or where leading opinions may conflict.

Appropriately communicate conclusions drawn from, and implications of results from statistical and performance analyses to a wide range of internal and external staff, guiding them on a certain course of action. Conveys statistical concepts clearly and develops and delivers formal, complex statistical presentations to large groups

Mandatory & Statutory Data Submissions

Accountable for ensuring informatics reporting adheres to published national guidance.

Accountable for ensuring specified mandatory and statutory returns are accurate and submitted within deadlines.

Accountable for ensuring appropriate FOIs and Clinical Audit datasets are submitted accurately and within deadlines

Staff Management

You will apply innovative approaches to resolve business and team issues.

Manage allocated staff, including recruitment, induction, setting workload priorities, delegating tasks, day-to-day management, monitoring performance, carrying out appraisals, identifying training needs facilitating staff personal development, acting as lead specialist and maintaining professional standards.

Plan, prioritise and co-ordinate staff on-going and project workload to achieve team and section objectives within agreed timescales.

Responsible for defining, implementing and monitoring internal procedures and standards within the functions managed to ensure effective governance, reliable high-quality outputs, business continuity, and effective documentation of processes.
