Job summary
As a team we are working hard to ensure we put high quality patient care and experience at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a compassionate, caring and experienced chemotherapy nurse to join ourteam. In addition to the standard chemotherapy clinical sister job role, the post holder will attend oncology clinics and at the first appointment ensure patients have all the required tests and investigations prior to treatment. They will also identify any specific support patients may requireprior to commencing treatment. This will minimise unnecessary delays and improve patient experience. The National Cancer Patient Experience Survey (NCPES 2023) has identified patients do not always receive enough understandable information about chemotherapy and immunotherapy prior to starting treatment. This post will support the wider team in improving this for patients.
