Main duties of the job

Richard Steven ward is a 27 bedded ward which specialises in general medicine.They often have a complex range of care needs and these require expert care.

This care is given by a team of dedicated Nurses, Therapists and Doctors who work in partnership with a wide range of the multidisciplinary team in order to give the highest standards of person-centred care at all times.

We have the opportunity for a passionate Band 5 Nurse to become part of our team. Applicants for this post will need to have a keen interest in caring for the person with gastroenterology needs and be able to provide care in a compassionate and dignified manner and be able to work well within the team and a variety of other staff to maintain standards with the trust and NMC guidelines.

The successful candidate will be supported by the senior nursing and professional development teams; you will be given a local ward induction and a trust induction. There is on-going support through regular appraisals; competency based learning and relevant study days to increase your knowledge and progress with your chosen carer in nursing.
