Job summary
An exciting vacancy has arisen for a full time Personal Assistant who will provide a fully comprehensive and highly efficient service supporting the work of the Director of Medical Education (DME) and Clinical Associate Director of Medical Education (CADME).
The PA will undertake a variety of tasks including managing and prioritising DME & CADME diaries and workload, setting tasks and keeping to timescales, convening and organising meetings, maintaining and updating filing/bring forward systems, and initiating and responding to correspondence.
Minute taking is a key function, as is good typing and IT skills. Effective delivery of responsibilities and strategic objectives across department functions, including some project management support.
It is expected that the postholder will be based at one of the Trust's sites. The role will necessitate movement across the sites within the Trust and that the postholder will work where the post demands dictate. This may at times involve some out of office hours / flexible working.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will act as the first point of contact for DME and CADME and will liaise with a wide range of people and agencies, both internal and external, on their behalf whilst maintaining diplomacy, professionalism, confidentiality and discretion at all times.
The postholder will be expected to work autonomously and use their own initiative with minimum supervision, prioritising their workload and communicating effectively and efficiently with colleagues at all levels of management across the Department and Trust.
