Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Maternity department for a part time E-roster co-ordinator. You will work as part of a small team ensuring the rosters for the Maternity unit are safely staffed. You will be proactive in finding solutions to address staffing gaps and updating Trust systems and escalating gaps as they arise.
Main duties of the job
Working with the Matron of the unit and Band 7 midwives you will need to be methodical as you work through the rosters each day, identifying and filling staffing gaps across all the rosters for the department. You will need to ensure staffing gaps are escalated and be resourceful in trying to fill them whilst maintaining appropriate skill mix. A daily overview is required and the job requires attention to detail and a calm and methodical approach to working.
Monitoring staff absence and identifying themes and trends is important as well as providing administrative support to the Matron of the unit to ensure sickness is tracked and monitored.
Providing ad hoc reports in relation to roster statistics will also be required.
