Job summary
Responsible for waiting list management and booking Endoscopy procedure appointments.
Be knowledgeable of patient pathways and waiting times to be able to manage capacity effectively.
Demonstrate efficient and effective communication skills liaising with a multi-disciplinary team.
Manage face-to-face, telephone and email queries in a polite, courteous manner.
Provide information and guidance about Endoscopy appointments and waiting list queries to patients, relatives and other internal stakeholders.
Undertake mandatory training and any other training which is deemed necessary to ensure compliance. This includes the training of new staff.
The successful candidate will be required to accurately process patient referrals ensuring precise data entry on the relevant computer systems (Allscripts, Solus and Sunrise) in a timely, efficient manner.
Undertake validation tasks which require the ability to problem solve to resolve issues or delays.
Record and update when necessary patient details in line with the Trust's policies and procedures.
Undertake any other administration duties.
The role will require participation in a shift rotation between 08.00-20.00 Monday - Sunday.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments via telephone as well as letter to ensure attendance.
Inputting and recording data on Allscripts, Solus, WASP, EDN/EPR, Cito, Sunrise, Theatreman as well as the Microsoft Office systems.
Demonstrate efficient and effective communication skills liaising with a patients, visitors and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
