Job summary
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic person to join our team on Marlowe. We have a full time, Band 2, Healthcare Assistant vacancy covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis. Working 37.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
Our shifts are long days (07:30-20:00), Nights (19:30-08:00), Early (07:30-15:30) and Late (12:30-20:00).
We are looking for an individual with experience in care who will offer the highest quality care to our patients, someone who is eager to learn, has a kind and caring attitude towards patients and colleagues and can be a positive team member.
We will offer you the full support of our team and a mentor who will work with you while you are getting to know the ward. We will provide any training you require to safely carry out your role and further learning opportunities.
The main duties of the role include providing personal care to renal patients including pressure sore prevention, toileting and catheter care. Taking and electronically recording patient's vital signs and blood glucose. Assisting with meals and measuring and recording fluid balance. Carrying out and documenting patient risk assessments and reporting the results.
