Job summary
Provide an efficient reception service to patients as they enter the Endoscopy Unit.
Maintain a high standard of customer service when dealing with patients, relatives, visitors and staff within the Endoscopy Department.
Use the relevant systems to correctly input data following guidance by the Trust's policies and protocols.
Ensure efficient communication to all internal and external stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
To meet and greet patients who arrive in the Endoscopy unit, making them feel welcome and comfortable. Tracking information on the relevant internal systems and adhering to any patient requests in a helpful and courteous manner.
. To update the patient administration system for the purpose of inputting data to track patient pathways and extracting, amending and updating data
Manage telephone and email queries to the department from internal and external stakeholders in a prompt and professional manner at all times.
. To make follow-up appointments for patients from clinic on Allscripts in real-time, ensuring that patients leave the department with their new appointment, all documentation and preparations if required
Open, date-stamp and distribute post appropriately.
To ensure patient pathways are managed inline with the Trust's access policy and reflected accurately on internal systems.

Essential
- GCSE in Maths and English or Equivalent
- Experience of working for and within a team for 12 months or more. Previous experience of working within a busy environment
