Job summary

We are a 27 bedded, mixed Trauma Ward, specialising in hip fractures of older patients giving a mixture of Surgery and Medicine. Our patients are frail and vulnerable and require the care of professionals who are dedicated and understanding of their complex needs. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a passion for providing high quality patient care.
Working alongside a unique team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Ortho-Geriatric Consultants, we also provide rehabilitation and support to enable the patients to leave the hospital environment.
We have a strong team, with great opportunities to develop and gain excellent experience in delivering compassionate and safe care to this complex and vulnerable group of patients.
Opportunities to work alongside Fracture Clinic and Theatres make this an ideal opportunity for a nurse who is passionate at seeing their patients effectively through the patient pathway. With our links to Canterbury Christ Church University and in-house nurse development team, we are also dedicated to providing education and training to support you in your CPD.
Main duties of the job
Registered Nurse with General surgery / Trauma and Orthopedic skills
To provide effective patient care whilst working as a member of the nursing team across East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust. To ensure the maintenance of high standards of patient care in response to service needs
