Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain agreed standards of nursing care with other members of the multidisciplinary team.

  • Ensure that nursing care is patient focused and that patient dignity and privacy are maintained at all

  • Ensure due regard is given to the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of patients and colleagues and that equal opportunities are

  • Take an active role in maintaining effective communication with all disciplines, patients and

  • Assist the ward manager in managing the resources required in the provision of care, with an awareness of the financial implications of all
  • Take responsibility for the ward/department for rostered shifts including the deployment of staff when ward manager not available.To develop an understanding of Clinical Governance/Risk
