Job summary
The main purpose of this role is to have direct responsibility for the leadership and management of the Tissue Viability Service across Sutton Health & Care (SHC). leading pressure ulcer reduction, prevention and wound management strategy.
- be responsible for providing a high quality holistic service for patients who require specialist tissue viability knowledge and skills
- work in an advanced clinical role, leading and developing nursing practice within the
- practice at a higher level of clinical competency
- demonstrate a sound knowledge in tissue viability and have the ability to co-ordinate relevant clinical issues and represent those views both internally and externally across the working sector as required
- be a member of the relevant service group/groups and represent nursing issues accordingly and in order to develop and deliver specialist advice and support the
service to patients requiring specialist wound care; this post will maintain a strong clinical component
- be able to implement and lead nurse-led services, sustaining a change culture, in line with the national health service agenda related to pressure ulcer prevention and management, and general complex wound care.
- Manage and provide the day to day professional and managerial leadership to the junior Tissue Viability Team Members including line management, sickness absence monitoring, professional development reviews and recruitment.

- Lead on the analysis of current tissue viability service delivery and introduction of new services that take account of and recognize the local and national agenda as directed by government bodies and expert consensus.
- Participate in business planning and service developments
- Regularly review the tissue viability services and ensure that there is a strategy that reflects the anticipated service needs.
3. RESPONSIBILITY FOR LEADING AND MANAGING
