Main duties of the job
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurseto join our Haematology ward on a 12-month fixed term contract. The ward provides specialist care for patients with haematological conditions, while also caring for a range of medical outliers and palliative care patients. This is a varied and rewarding role within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to patients with complex needs. The post holder will be required to work a full range of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Applicants must hold a valid UK NMC registration and demonstrate flexibility, strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care. The ability to administer intravenous medications is desirable, and applicants will be encouraged and supported to undertake training in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) via various routes to support our inpatient services. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills in haematology, oncology and palliative care, making it ideal for nurses looking to broaden their experience and enhance future career prospects.
