Job summary
Are you ready to lead change, inspire a team, and transform patient care? This is your chance to take charge of our busy outpatient pharmacy service at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals.
We've kept our outpatient dispensing in-house, meaning you'll be at the heart of a service that directly impacts patients across a wide range of specialties. We're looking for someone who can re-invent processes, energise the team, and deliver a pharmacy service that is professional, efficient, and compassionate.
Main duties of the job
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of pharmacy assistants, technicians, and pharmacists across both St Helier and Epsom sites.
- Shape the future of outpatient services by modernising systems, re-inventing processes, and improving patient experience.
- Apply your hospital expertise to navigate hospital prescribing, hospital-only medicines, and formulary systems, ensuring safe and effective supply across all specialties.
- Bring commercial insight from community pharmacy experience (if you have it) to strengthen service delivery and patient care.
- Drive change with proven managerial and transformation skills, re-invigorating the service to meet evolving patient and Trust needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues across clinics and specialties to ensure seamless, patient-centred care.
- Champion professional standards by delivering a pharmacy service that is compassionate, efficient, and aligned with NHS values.
Please note: This role is primarily based at our St Helier site, with one day each week spent at Epsom Hospital - giving you the opportunity to grow your skills and make an impact across both of our busy, dynamic locations.
About us
At Epsom and St Helier, you'll be part of a supportive, collaborative environment where your contributions are recognised and your growth is encouraged. You'll work alongside passionate colleagues who share your commitment to delivering a high-class service for patients.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of outpatient care while advancing your career as a senior leader within the NHS. If you're ready to take the next step, we look forward to receiving your application.
