This role is to assist the Neuro Physiotherapist and Occupational therapist in providing a high standard therapy service to in-patients at St. Helier Hospital. a

Main duties of the job

Physiotherapy Assistant Band 3

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable therapy assistant to join our in-patient team working in St. Helier Hospital, assisting the Neuro therapists in their work.This role will involve direct patient care, of complex neurological conditions working with a Physiotherapist or Occupational therapist. This will involved being patient facing on the hospital wards including critical care, and will involve some unsupervised clinical work as competence allows. There will also be administrative tasks and other duties such as cleaning / sorting equipment,Applicants should be committed to providing excellent patient care, be able to work as part of a team, have good communication skills, be physically fit to carry out the rehabilitative / mobility work required, and willing and able to take on new challenges, knowledge and skills. This post is part time and includes weekend work on a rota basis.
