Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust

Specialist Paediatric Dietitian

The closing date is 28 October 2025

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Dietitian to join our paediatric team on a full time, permanent basis within an already established clinical role. The role will involve working cross site between Epsom General Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children at St Helier Hospital. The role will mainly cover general paediatrics, as well as allergy clinics, allergy MDT's, and a small amount of inpatient ward work. As well as being varied, this role will suit someone who wants to work in a busy and fast based clinical environment with new challenges and learning opportunities. This role will involve working in an MDT as well as working autonomously.

Main duties of the job

To provide a patient-centred Dietetic service to children and their carers across the hospital sites.

To work as part of the paediatric multidisciplinary teams and attend multidisciplinary meetings as appropriate, particularly in the area of allergy.

To provide Dietetic input to the paediatric allergy MDT clinics and work with the allergy team on food challenges on both hospital sites.

To liaise with staff within the Trust and the wider health community to ensure the nutritional needs of children can be met.

To provide clinical knowledge and expertise to the wider multidisciplinary team based on a sound knowledge of evidence based practice.

To develop evidence based dietary information in conjunction with other members of the paediatric and dietetic team.

To provide cover for senior colleagues as appropriate.

To provide dietetic management of enterally fed inpatients (NGs, NJs and PEGs).
