Estates Apprentice Electricians - Apprenticeship (Annex 21)

Job summary

ESTH Trust are looking for Apprentice Estates Electrical Technicians to work in Property maintenance at a AFC Band 5 ( Annex 21 )- 37.5 hours a week.

3 years apprenticeship depending on a start date.

Salary details;

£21,457.80 - £32,599.50 Annex 21 - 60% top of Band 5 (Year 1), 65% top of Band 5 (Year 2), 70% top of Band 5 (Year 3), 75% top of Band 5 (Year 4).

This role will be required to work trust-wide across Epsom, ST Helier Hospitals,

The duties include training to become a electrical technician capable of highly complex fault finding and maintenance on all aspects of engineering plant and equipment throughout the Trust.

The duties must be carried out within stringent timescales and within statutory guidelines.

The post holder will have day to day contact with the internal and external stakeholders regarding sensitive, complex and confidential issues.

They will present verbal, written and numerical issues, explaining complexities, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

To provide stakeholders updates and potential disruptions, to organise planned shutdowns.

Main duties of the job

To conduct PPM and assist reactive tasks

To manage personal jobs on the CAFM via PDA

To support in mechanical system shut downs and isolations

To fault find on complex Air Handling Units and Refrigeration Plant, and to carry out regular, Planned Preventative Maintenance when required

Responsible as part of the local team for the information upkeep of the CAFM

  • C&G, NVQ or similar in a mechanical discipline

Desirable

  • oCPD in line management oHNC/HND in an engineering discipline oCompetent person in specialist subject such as safe water oTime served apprenticeship

Experience

  • oExperience of working with advanced plumbing and/or mechanical systems. oFault finding on mechanical with skills to isolate, keep running and fully repair. oExperience of delivering safe water services tasks, temperature monitoring, cleaning and chlorination of taps/TMV's and falt finding on systems.

Desirable

  • oTo have experience in working within healthcare premises oWorking with a PDA installed with CAFM, MICAD and Zetasafe .

  • oTo have sound knowledge of mechanical systems. oIn depth knowledge of the HaSaWA and other relevant acts, standards and guidance notes oTo have an understanding of permit to work systems, risk assessments and good working practices.
