Job summary

St Helier Maternity has a 44 bedded Maternity ward , 7 Birthing Rooms on our Delivery Suite and 3 Birth Centre Delivery Rooms.

We are looking for a Maternity Support Worker who is kind, caring and passionate about delivering excellent client focused care and to join our multidisciplinary team here at St Helier Maternity. You will be innovative, enthusiastic, flexible and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team

Main duties of the job

Maternity Support Worker - Band 2

St Helier Hospital

As a Maternity Support Worker, you will carry out a variety of duties including:

* Cleaning duties

*Stocking up delivery rooms/wards

*Making up packs

*Making beds

*Assisting at deliveries

*Assisting in theatre

*Supporting women with the care of their babies

*Helping with infant feeding

*Portering duties

Good communication, the ability to prioritise, IT skills and a friendly nature are essential. We work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team and are looking for someone who is a hard worker, enjoys a challenge and enjoys learning new skills .
