Job summary

Estates & Facilities Site Director Band 9

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery for all estates, capital project, health, safety and compliance, medical physics and facilities functions for Epsom St Helier Trust.

You will have a corporate leadership role within the Trust as a member of the Site Leadership Team.

You will also be part of a wider Group team led by the Group Chief Facilities, Infrastructure & Environment Officer.

You will be required to provide a portfolio of high quality, top performing Management services that underpin clinical service delivery.

Accountable to the Group Chief Infrastructure, Facilities & Infrastructure Officer, the post holder will be an integral member of the ESTH Site Leadership Team and the Group Estates & Facilities leadership team.

Main duties of the job

  • Develop a coherent and robust site delivery plan, which supports and enhances the delivery of high quality, safe patient care and delivers the Group Estate Strategy.

  • Responsible for the planning and delivery of capital investment in the estate to ensure that service strengthening and reconfiguration is taken forward

  • Responsible for ensuring the effective performance and management of estates,facilities, health and safety and medical physics services

  • To be a champion for the delivery of facilities services which put the patient at the centre of care

  • Actively participates and contributes to the overall development of the Trust and gesh group.

  • To deliver the Trust's sustainability targets

  • To promote commercial development of Trust assets and property

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Department of Health guidelines set down in the Healthcare Technical Memoranda (HTM) and Healthcare Building Notices (HBN)

  • Meet the mandatory and statutory requirements in the NHS in relation to the provision of healthcare environments including HSE and CQC regulations.
