Job summary
Working under the direct supervision and direction of Registered Nurses and the Clinical Nurse Specialists who delegates tasks to the post holder. The Healthcare Assistant (HCA) will deliver high quality nursing care to patients, as part of a team. The post holder is responsible for their own practice, working within the defined limits of competence and within the scope of the role. The registered nurses retains accountability for the care delivered by the HCA
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a full time and part time Health Care Assistants to join our Urology department within the Urology Centre at Epsom Hospital, fixed term in view of becoming a substantive post.
The Urology Centre is a very busy unit with a well-established friendly team of nurses and radiographers.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00. This is subject to slight change upon needs of the service.
We need a unique person for this role that is positive,enthusiastic to learn, and works well within a team.
The successful candidate will have the full support of the very experienced Urology nurses within the department, in addition to a very engaged Consultant team who are all willing to support you to meet your training needs.
You will undertake a range of duties within the centre, providing a nursing assistant role to the multidisciplinary team and when necessary working without direct supervision to ensure the delivery of effective high quality care.
