Senior Clinical Pharmacist, South-West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) Band 7
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our teams as a Senior Clinical Pharmacist. If you are a forward-thinking pharmacist wanting to expand your clinical knowledge and work in a specialist surgical role while also developing management skills then this is the post or you.
The post holder will join a team of specialist and generalist clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants in delivering a comprehensive and efficient pharmaceutical service, aligned to the needs of patients and service users.
It is an exciting time to join the department as we are reviewing the pharmacy service we want to provide, and making adjustments to roles so that we can deliver an effective service built around the needs of patients and working closely with the multidisciplinary teams on the wards. This will greatly enhance the knowledge and skills of our team and improve job satisfaction.
This role is a full time role (37.5hours per week), with a requirement to participate in the seven day working, late duties and on-call rotas.

Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive and efficient pharmaceutical service, in accordance with the required standards of quality and professional practice, to meet the needs of the users.
To provide high quality pharmaceutical care to patients and their carers
To promote evidence based and cost effective medicines use, effective risk management, clinical governance and adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines related to medicines use
