Job summary
The Medicine Division is seeking to appoint an ambitious and enthusiastic candidate to be the General Manager across both sites for our Emergency Departments, Acute Medicine, and Stroke service.
We want someone who loves building relationships and working together with colleagues to make life better for our staff and patients. The role requires passion for understanding our pathways and curiosity to find ways to improve our services.
It is a high profile post within our trust and contributes regularly at local system level, so is an excellent way to gain experience for aspiring divisional directors/managers.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the safe delivery of care along urgent and emergency care flow at our hospitals
Working with medical and nursing teams, divisional management team, and other stakeholders to ensure effective patient pathways
Oversight of performance and finance for the departments
Line management of all admin staff within the services via service managers
Representation for the trust at local system meetings and on sector improvement programmes
Support the implementation of IT system changes and delivery of our plans to develop a Specialist Emergency Care Hospital
