Job summary

Head of Financial Management & Finance and Business Partner -Band 8c

As Head of Financial Management you will lead, manage and motivate the divisional financial management teams, and play a key role in ensuring excellent communications across Finance & Business Managers and their teams.

You will deputise for the Assistant Director of Finance - Financial Management and provide project support across a range of activities including preparation of board reports, Provider Financial Returns and reporting to the ICB.

You will be a finance and business partner for a major division in the Trust, providing financial and other key information to support the Divisional Management Team in making recommendations for improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the division and Trust.

You will direct and lead the work of their Divisional Accounting team to provide an efficient and proactive management accounting service to departments within the division and the Trust, ensuring deadlines are met and the needs and objectives of the Trust are achieved.

You will promote and support a culture of robust and innovative service based financial planning across the Trust.

You will be a member of the of the Finance Department's senior management team and provide effective leadership for the success and future direction of the department.

Main duties of the job

To support in the production of reports to the Trust Board and external financial reporting for the Trust.

To lead and manage divisional accounting teams.

To be the finance and business partner for a major division in the Trust.
