Rotational Senior Clinical Pharmacist Band 7 **WITH WELCOME BONUS**

If you are a motivated and forward-thinking pharmacist wanting to expand your clinical knowledge while also developing management skills then this is the post or you.

The post holder will join a team of specialist and generalist clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants in delivering a comprehensive and efficient pharmaceutical service. Experience will be gained through completion of a diverse range of clinical rotations, and supplemental development tasks.

It is an exciting time to join the department as we are reviewing the pharmacy service we want to provide, and making adjustments to roles so that we can deliver an effective service built around the needs of patients and working closely with the multidisciplinary teams. This will greatly enhance the knowledge and skills of our team and improve job satisfaction.

This role is a full time role (37.5hours per week), with a requirement to participate in the seven day working and on-call rotas.

Main duties of the job

To provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical service, working towards expert level knowledge during 6-monthly rotations.

To further develop managerial skills and expertise by working towards agreed objectives.

To support, train and supervise newly qualified pharmacist and trainee pharmacists.

  • Professional qualification - General Pharmaceutical Council registration
  • Certificate in clinical pharmacy (at least 12 months complete and working towards 18 months)

Desirable

  • MSc in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent. Management training
  • Full Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Management training

Experience

Essential

  • Post registration UK hospital experience (min 18 months)
  • Experience of providing services to a broad variety of patients
  • Demonstrate evidence of good clinical knowledge and skills.

Desirable

  • Management of staff/ Staff appraisal

Skills

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Good organisational skills, self and others.
  • Ability to motivate self and others
  • Drug usage review/evaluation/audit experience

  • Clinical governance and risk management
  • Experience of contributing to or leading on the writing of trust guidelines, policies and procedures
