Motivated and Enthusiastic Catering Night Porter required.

Experience is not necessary however it is valued. We will give you full training and skills you need.

In your new role as a Night kitchen porter you will carry out essential kitchen tasks including, regular cleaning duties and kitchen equipment along with checking and collecting deliveries as well as helping with restocking of products to ensure a smooth service for our customers in patient catering.

Operate a dishwasher, stacking crockery and cutlery

Delivery meal trolley to the wards.

Main duties of the job

To take patient food orders and processes the information as appropriate, to serve food in line with schedule and to ensure that all foods and are served when required as per ward requirements and accurately recorded.

To prepare the service areas with the necessary service equipment, crockery, serving utensils, condiments. To assist with the presentation, preparation, service and cleaning of the Decant kitchen areas and equipment.

To comply with instruction and portion control, presentation and recording all information relating to the service.

To complete promptly and accurately due diligence sheets and other food safety documentation.

To ensure all stores are correctly rotated and used in date order, and any out-of-date products are recorded then disposed of in the correct manner.

To ensure compliance with all Food safety requirements and to check all ward kitchen and departmental fridges for food safety compliance.

To comply with standards as set up in the Trust procedures and through training delivered.
