Main duties of the job
As a Senior House Officer (SHO), you will be required to work closely with other junior doctors, a team of Registrar's and Substantive Consultants within the department. This role is based at our Epsom site.
You will need to liaise with colleagues who are on duty directly before and after you to ensure an adequate handover of information to uphold high standards of patient care and safety. StaffBank requires you to have:

- Minimum of 6 months experience working within the NHS.

This role is to start ASAP - 1st August 2023. Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. As a Senior House Officer (SHO), you will be required to work closely with other junior doctors, a team of Registrar's and Substantive Consultants within the department.

The Gastroenterology department is a well-established
unit led by Consultants with junior support.
The gastroenterology department deals with all aspects of general
gastroenterology (digestive system) and hepatology (liver) in both inpatient
and outpatient settings. Endoscopy is carried out at Epsom, St Helier and the
Nelson hospitals, with more complex therapeutic endoscopies (ERCP, stents)
centralised at St Helier Hospital. The
department works closely with the gastrointestinal surgical department
and specialist gastrointestinal radiologists within the Trust.The Gastroenterology department is a well-established
