An exciting opportunity has arisen within AWP Research & Development (R&D). We are looking to recruit a Research Support Officerto provide administrative support to the R&D Department and have a key role in portfolio database reporting.We are looking for someone that shares our passion for making research opportunities accessible to all those that can take part.
You will join the R&D department in AWP who are undertaking ground-breaking mental health and dementia research.
We encourage applications from people who wish to work on a flexible basis, recognising that flexibility may mean a range of different working patterns and hours, we do our utmost to work with our staff to meet their needs and the needs of our service users. This post is open to applicants looking to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week. This is a fixed-term post for maternity cover. This role is hybrid and requires some in person office support.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a key member of the Research & Development (R&D) Department and will be expected to:
- Assist in the R&D Department to conduct, develop, and provide support for research and development across the trust.
- Assist the R&D Project Support Officer by providing general administrative support, data entry and record keeping for any R&D projects as suitability delegated.
- Assist members of the Research and Development department by providing administrative support for department activities.
- Develop and implement new systems and processes as required.

Provide administrative support to the department:
- To assist in the representation of R&D in a trust-wide capacity.
- To assist in the maintenance of the current portfolio of projects within R&D.
- To assist in increasing the engagement with staff about research.
- To assist with R&D projects and initiatives.
- Uses a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases, Microsoft Office software and online meeting packages.
- Use a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases, Microsoft Office software and online meeting packages.
- Implementation and promoting the R&D and Trust Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy and agenda.
- Ensure accurate entry of data to research databases and using this data to pull crucial reports for the team. Contribute to the production of high quality evidence.
- To assist the R&D Leadership team to support initiatives and projects within the department.
- Provide administrative support to projects and conduct any administrative tasks in the department required by the needs of projects in the R&D Department.
- Day to day administration management of the R&D Department, including minute taking, maintaining supplies of stationary and equipment, organising meetings, diary management of the management team and financial administration.
- To ensure that systems are in place for the gathering of performance monitoring information.
- To ensure secretarial cover is adequate to continue delivering the service and maintain an awareness of whole department activities.
- To collate information in order to monitor achievement of targets, proactively chasing gaps in data provision and providing statistics and reports through identified reporting lines.
