Job summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Contracts and Procurement Team. This pivotal role will responsible for leading on all major procurement exercises within the Trust.
This will involve the tendering and use of national frameworks within the current Cabinet office guidance and ensuring all tenders are run within a compliant process. The post will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a Framework and Contracts management process for appropriate expenditure contracts.
The successful candidate will be a critical member of the team and be able to work within a busy corporate office and have the skills and abilities to manage their own workloads.
The team are based across two sites so this role will be required to travel between offices when required. Our team works both remotely and in the office depending on project needs and individual schedules, with regular team meetings across the Trust's geography. Main duties of the job
The Contract and Performance Lead will be responsible for leading on all major procurement exercises within the Trust including potentially and not exclusive to: Estates building works, EFM support agreements, Clinical Contracts and IT projects.
This will involve the tendering and use of national frameworks within the current Cabinet office guidance and ensuring all tenders are run within a compliant process.
The post will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a Framework and Contracts management process for appropriate expenditure contracts.

Main duties will include, but are not exhaustive to:
- To project lead on Trust Wide high value tenders.
- To assist in drawing up legally binding agreements in line with national directives that reflect local negotiations, and to manage these accordingly.
- Supporting the process of on-going contract review for a range of service Providers
- To ensure that all Contract documentation is kept updated and compliant with relevant legislation and ensure that master copies are held centrally
- To ensure that tender projects groups have correct representation and ensure that tender outcomes always provide best value for money outcomes
- Ensure that any process followed is in line with National and Trust guidance including Standing Financial Orders.
- To carryout initial research on potential providers to the Trust by completing pre tender qualification documents.
- Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with national guidance as issued by the Department of Health or other Government bodies
- To establish and attend Contract Management meetings for key contracts and work towards building ongoing partnerships and strong working relationships with suppliers.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, risk register and portfolio contracts databases to ensure contract management is completed as specified in the contracts.

Most challenging part of this role
This is a challenging and varied post within the team and is a key role ensuring that all processes in place work effectively and efficiently. A confident individual will be required, with an ability to deal with colleagues and build upon established relationships whilst developing new ones by using their own initiative and skills to recognise improvements that could be implemented. The successful candidate will have managed and independently run multiple tenders of varying levels, and will have experience of contract management tools and techniques. The successful individual will have proven IT skills and be confident working under their own initiative.
