Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner who is ready to take the next step in a leadership role. This is a maternity cover position and provides a great development opportunity. We are looking for someone who has a creative approach and can champion the contribution of Step 2 teams work within AWP NHS B&NES Talking Therapies Services. You will be encouraged to develop and implement new projects and changes to improve our service. Focusing on the support, development and wellbeing of our PWP team. The post holder will offer evidence-based practice through facilitated self-help, individually by phone, face-to-face, cCBT and in groups. As well as develop, train and support trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), qualified PWPs and other Primary Care colleagues.
In addition, there is a significant case management, line management and clinical supervision component to the post and this is an opportunity for qualified and experienced Talking Therapies PWPs who are enthusiastic and excited by the development of low intensity services to share their interest and passion, and to develop these qualities and skills in others.
Main duties of the job
To co-ordinate and oversee the Step 2 Low Intensity output of Talking Therapies -across BSW (BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire) Service. To be a guide and resource for the Senior PWPs in their work with the Step 2 teams. To generate and organise clinical audits, service evaluations and other quality improvement initiatives across the PWP teams and to contribute to wider such projects across the service. To represent the Step 2 voice in the service management team. To manage the service's relationship with training providers (Exeter University) in regard to PWP trainings and to lead on robust recruitment of PWPs.
To lead on PWP development within the service including co-ordinating training and continuous professional development.
