Job summary
To deliver high quality positive behaviour support assessment and intervention to children and young people with learning disability and their families
Main duties of the job
To carry out functional behavioural assessments and analyses and other psychological assessments within a Positive Behaviour Support framework with a high level of autonomy as delegated and under supervision
To carry out risk assessments for children and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour and their carers as delegated and under supervision
Produce behavioural assessment reports as delegated and under supervision
Construct and regularly update behaviour support plans and protocols as delegated and under supervision
To work directly with children and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour and their carers and provider agencies to support effective implementation of behaviour support plans as delegated and under supervision
To work directly with children and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour to assess their skills, develop skills building programmes and implement these as delegated and under supervision
To gather and analyse data regarding the effectiveness of positive behaviour support interventions and produce reports on this data using packages such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
To contribute to monitoring team performance via the Period Service Review
The post holder will be willing and able to work between 7am and 7pm as needed.
