There is an opportunity for an Art Psychotherapist to join the Art Psychotherapy Team, which is part of the Complex Psychological Interventions Team (CPI) in Bristol.
You would be joining the CPI Team, which is an established team of Arts Psychotherapist, Clinical Psychologists Psychotherapists and Psychological Therapists
The post holder will be based at The Greenway Centre and Gloucester House offering a service to clients from the north area of Bristol. You will be providing assessments, psychological formulation, planning and implementing individual and group art psychotherapy sessions within community services using a recovery approach including inputting into service users care programmes.
As a member of the CPI Team, you will offer group and individual supervision to staff within the Support and Recovery Team as well as the Arts Psychotherapy service within Avon and West Wiltshire NHS Partnership.
The role will involve working and liaising with other parts of the service including working closely with the Support and Recovery Team, the Crises Team and GP's. This will include offering consultation and bringing psychological thinking to different forums.
As a part of the CPI team, you will receive excellent support and supervision from more senior and well-established CPI members who work within a range of therapeutic specialisms.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who is a qualified Art Psychotherapist with HCPC registration.
We are looking for someone with the following skills:
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, who can work autonomously whilst enjoying being an integrated member of the arts psychotherapy and CPI Team.
- Someone with a particular interest in working in a community setting, bringing energy to work psychologically within this part of our service.
- Someone able to plan and implement individual and group therapy session and input into service users integrated care programmes.
- Someone that is able to offer supervision and consultation to other Art Psychotherapists and staff within multidisciplinary teams.
About us
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within/ link with the Complex Psychological interventions (CPI) service. The CPI are a friendly and supportive team, who are highly valued within local services. They offer a range of activities to support psychologically informed care within the secondary mental health service, developing and delivering psychological therapies. The team are comprised of multidisciplinary professions, including Clinical Psychologists, Arts Psychotherapists, Medical Psychotherapists and Specialist Nurses.
As a part of the CPI team, you will receive excellent support and supervision from more senior and well-established CPI members who work within a range of therapeutic specialisms. There are also opportunities to link with psychological therapist colleagues and participate in regular case presentations and peer learning and development through the CPI.
The CPI have links to local training institutions and Universities, bringing opportunities for teaching, mentoring, and research. The CPI also work to support opportunities to develop staff through ongoing professional training and development, both internally and externally.
