The Recruitment Team is responsible for processing between 150 and 200 offers of employment each month. We need to recruit staff in a timely and efficient way to ensure the smooth running of our wards and teams. Could you help us to achieve this?
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for placing adverts, arranging interviews, requesting and processing pre-employment checks, producing offer letters and contracts as well as answering any queries.
You will need to have administrative experience and be a competent user of Microsoft Office products with strong communication skills and the ability to work accurately in a timely manner.
Experience of producing offer letters, contracts of employment and pre-employment checks would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. Experience of using NHS Jobs, ESR and TRAC is desirable.

Responsible for advising managers on the compilation and cost effective placing of job adverts in appropriate publications. Ensuring that the job advert is concise, legal and accurate.2. Provide advice and guidance on appropriate recruitment best practice and legislation.3. Arranging interviews and selection processes as appropriate.4. Prepare and send offer letters, confirmation letters, contract letters and entering candidate information into Electronic Staff Record (ESR) in accordance with pre determined parameters.5. Chase references and when received check them, raising any issues with the recruiting manager, sending them a copy.6. Initiating medical clearances and raising any issues with the recruiting manager.7. Ensure that all new recruits in appropriate roles receive a DBS check. On receipt of the DBS liaise with recruiting manager and deal with any issues as appropriate in conjunction with the HR Team.8. Ensure that all new applicants to the Trust provide documentation to ensure that in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act they are eligible to work at AWP and, where appropriate, apply for a work permit and to confirm their identity.9. Verify professional registration for qualified staff as appropriate.10. To ensure that all pre-employment checks adhere to NHS Employers guidelines and/or Trust policy.11. Provide support to the Recruitment Manager and HR Team on ad-hoc projects as required.12. Prepare and issue Honorary and Placement contracts.13. Ensure that confidentiality is maintained applied throughout the process.14. Develop good working relationships with managers, and aim to provide advice that both supports the manager in achieving their objective, and ensures that Trust policy and statutory requirements are followed.
