Job summary
Bristol Triage are looking for Band 6 Registered practitioners, from either Nursing, OT or Social work backgrounds
We provide access to a rapid, comprehensive and prioritised specialist mental health triage service.
We recruit Band 6 Registered practitioners who ideally have a community background as familiarity with services across Bristol is crucial. Although with Inpatient experience and an understanding of services with AWP we are able to offer a detailed and bespoke induction dependant on experience, including time spent with our Crisis and Recovery teams to understand their services.
You will be working alongside medical colleagues that sit within the team but also engaging with other secondary service colleagues and primary and voluntary services so building a breadth of working relationships and confidence and understanding of all the services across Bristol.
Some regular out of hours working maybe required.
Ensuring our staff are adequately equipped to feel confident and develop their Triage skills we offer a range of training opportunities such as comprehensive Suicide and self-harm awareness and emotional resilience modules.
Main duties of the job
BRISTOL MENTAL HEALTH SHARED POINT OF ACCESS TRIAGE TEAM
We are the main point of access to mental health services in Bristol. We welcome referrals from GP's and other professionals. People can self refer and we accept referrals from carers, families and friends. We pride ourselves in offering an all inclusive service to meet the needs of Bristol and its diverse population. Within Triage, we have designated skilled clinicians who are knowledgeable in supporting and assessing those from different cultural, minority backgrounds and those with complex needs.
Bristol Mental Health Shared Point of Access is a small welcoming, well supported team of professionals made up of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Senior Practitioners, Specialist Practitioners (RMNs, CPNs, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers) and Administrators based at Callington Road Hospital in South Bristol. Our service runs 7 days a week operating from 08:00-22:00
