The Riverside Adolescent Unit in Bristol is a specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) providing assessment, care and treatment for young people who have complex mental health problems. The Unit offers in-patient and day patient care and provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people to work through emotional and psychological difficulties.
As a Nurse at Riverside, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a brighter future for those struggling with mental health difficulties. You will have the opportunity to gain experience of supporting young people in social and recreational activities as well as attending to the environment of the Unit.

Main duties of the job
The main role of a Staff Nurse at Riverside is to support young people working within individual, group, and family contexts. You will need to have excellent team working skills and be able to develop boundaried working relationships with young people.
You will contribute to the care of young people within the context of the Team and ensure the safe and smooth running of the Unit.
You will need to demonstrate imagination, enthusiasm, positivity, pro-active, and robust.
There are training opportunities for anyone working at the Unit in order to increase the skills of the team in delivering care.

As an inpatient CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) nurse, your primary responsibilities involve providing specialised care and support to children and adolescents with mental health issues who require hospitalisation. Your duties may include:
