Job summary

We are looking for a band 7 practitioner to help bring Sequoia to life. Sequoia is a brand new service for people with Complex Emotional Needs across BNSSG. The successful applicant will be joining the Clinical Lead, a small team of clinicians and admin to begin to build the service from scratch.

The service will start in North Somerset and roll out in a phased manner, in line with the mental health hubs. The service will deliver DBT, MBT, Peer Support Groups and Psychoeducation groups, all in collaboration with our VCSE partner.

The Sequoia Tree Service is an incredibly exciting project, which has the permission to do things differently. We welcome dedicated people from all backgrounds who would like to join us on this journey. Please do get in touch before applying.

Main duties of the job

To start with the role will involve supporting the clinical lead in setting up the service and collaborating with our VCSE partner.

Once the service is up and running the band 7 practitioners will primarily be overseeing DBT and MBT informed interventions in a group setting. This post has a focus on MBT. The groups will be both online and in person, depending on the needs of the population.

You will oversee the triage referrals, support conversations (assessments) and post-group reviews. You will keep an overview of the MBT offer and alongside the clinical lead you will use a test and learn approach to improve it. You will be involved with the data collection from the group.
