Band 6 Occupational Therapist
We are currently looking for an experienced, innovative Occupational Therapist to join our friendly, supportive team. You will have the opportunity to develop and provide a therapeutic provision to Whittucks Rd ward, a 15 bed rehabilitation ward in a community setting. We support adults of working age, with enduring mental heath illnesses, Who reside in the South Glos and BANES area. The focus is to support individuals with social inclusion, activities of living, and transition from hospital back into the community.
This post will involve being an active member of the multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on developing meaningful person centred care plans and delivering these in the ward environment and the community. You will have the opportunity to supervise our Band 4 mental health workers and Band 3 support workers

Main duties of the job
To provide high quality Occupational Therapy service and be professionally accountable for a designated caseload
To work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team attending ward rounds, Care Programme Approach meetings, discharge meetings and providing timely feedback
To provide standardised and non-standardised specialist assessments and interventions, delivered 1:1 and in groups, to inform care needs assessments, promote independence and recovery
To support the service with the prioritisation, planning, development and delivery of a high quality occupational therapy service in accordance to Trust and OT goals
