Main duties of the job

A great opportunity has arisen for experienced Registered Mental Health Professional to join the Liaison and Diversion Service, (LaDS).

You will be one of the following: a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker trained in Mental Health.

LaDS is an all age, all vulnerability service working in Police Custody Suites and Courts in the Wiltshire area. We are an assessment service who work closely with the Police and other CJS professionals to ensure the most effective pathway is for people in custody who may be vulnerable, or suffering mental health problems.

We work with service users with a range of vulnerabilities and you will need to be able to confidently assess various needs in potentially difficult circumstances. You must be able to work with individuals experiencing mental health crisis, learning disabilities, drug and alcohol misuse, and extreme emotional distress.
