Prospective candidates must be able to carry out the full range of operational duties appropriate to their clinical skillset or scope of practice in order to maintain occupational competency, assist the Trust during periods of clinical escalation and support learners in their operational working environment. Candidates must be able to undertake periods of prolonged physical activity including, but not limited to, performing all aspects of moving and handling, participating in simulated scenarios and demonstrating ALS/BLS.
Main duties of the job
To provide training & support to ensure learners achieve in a timely manner. Effectively teach & assess learners performance, knowledge & understanding against the national occupational standards. Make pro-active contribution to the quality assurance & improvement processes required by the Awarding Organisations & Ofsted. Be an integral part of the training team working in dual role with both apprenticeship programmes & other training department provision. Fully develop programmes of education for staff within the organisation up to level 5. Responsible for the pastoral, supervisory & educational welfare of students on programme, assessing & marking work & portfolios of work. To work with the Education & Development Leads & the Service lines to carry out training needs, analysis on individuals & the organisation to raise the standards of practice. This will predominately be in the clinical field but will also link to non-clinical education delivery. Ensure the content of all delivered educational programmes meet the requirements of the awarding/accrediting/relevant body & the standards set by JRCALC, HCPC, College of Paramedics & the Trusts governance requirements. Provide formal assessment of all academic programmes (CAVA) & ensure that EFSA & all accrediting bodies requirements are fully met. Undertake the role of course lead on a full range of educational programmes for assistant practitioner & support levels.
