Job summary
The Informatics Department in the North East Ambulance Service, has an opportunity for a Senior Data Warehouse Developer to join a growing, dynamic and busy team.
As a Data Warehouse Developer, you will be part of the Development Team where you will be involved in the production of data marts on the Trusts Data Warehouse to specification (which includes: requirement gathering, design, development, testing, roll out and training) to enable integrated reporting across the Trust. You will be involved in the complete ETL process and will lead the Trust in the development of SQL Server and PowerBi based reporting solutions alongside other developers and analysts. You will also be part of a team of like-minded developers working together to ensure Data Warehouse development is of the highest standard. You will be one of the primary points of contact and the point of escalation for all data warehouse related issues.
You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent and have experience working as a Data Warehouse Developer. Experience of working in an agile development environment would be beneficial.

Main duties of the job
You will carry out application support by dealing with service desk requests, which make up a part of the day-to-day work of the team. This role also includes maintenance and development of the Trusts extensive database infrastructure, and web-based solutions.
The right applicant will be expected to liaise with the services customers to identify their requirements and produce suitable Data Warehouse builds within agreed timescales. Experience of Data Warehousing in a Microsoft environment is required as is experience of the complete ETL and dimensional modelling process. Also, an ability to learn quickly is required and experience of, Azure, SSAS or similar analysis modelling will be a definite advantage.
As a Data Warehouse Developer, we will also ask you to contribute technical advice and direction for the team and to mentor our Developers.
