Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security and
Technical Implementation Officer to join us on a full-time basis.
You will be responsible for ensuring the Trust maintains its
excellent Cyber Security Threat defence and response; you will be responsible
for ensuring technical implementations are conducted in line with both industry
and Trust level standards, contributing and setting the latter.
Candidates should have a significant understanding of many
aspects of cyber security and various technology concepts, i.e., cloud,
virtualisation, storage etc. and be familiar with various type of hardware,
operating systems, Microsoft product families & technologies and server
platforms.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for contributing to the research, design, and
implementation of new highly complex IM&T systems, incorporating technical
security (specifically) and compliance with applicable legislation, while also
taking into consideration the organisation and end user requirements.
Contributing to the planning, design,
installation, security, configuration, monitoring, preventative maintenance and
troubleshooting of highly complex systems and to provide thorough, clear,
precise documentation to support the delivery of said systems.
A
specific focus on pro-active cyber security management. This entails both
pro-active and reactive activity. The former encompasses delivery of industry
standards across core infrastructure including impact assessment of any change
as well as co-ordinating roll out. The latter involves reacting to a cyber
incident that the trust is currently experiencing but to also examine system
triggers and rectify / modify accordingly.

- Educated to Degree level in relevant discipline with specialist knowledge or significant relevant experience with specialist knowledge.
Desirable
- PRINCE Foundation.
- ITIL Practitioner.
- IT vendor certifications such as Microsoft, Citrix, Sophos.
- Working towards or achieved Microsoft Certified Professional certification or equivalent in cyber security.
