Job summary
This post is a 6-month Secondment role opportunity, primarily for all daily AGV activities.
To work as part of the logistics team, responsible for providing a range of FM support services in the hospital environment and Offsite Warehouse. This will involve carrying out the following Logistics functions:o Receipt and Distribution of Healthcare related productso Receipting and delivering of goods in both the R&D department, and the warehouse.o Loading and dispatching of the Automated Guided vehicles (AGV)o Working in a supportive capacity within the logistics serviceso Sorting, delivering, and franking internal and external Posto Accurate put away or stock audits of stock in areas managed by the Materials Management Teamo Ordering and management of linen stock in all areas managed by the Linen serviceo Processing uniform orders for all Trust new starters
To provide a high quality responsive, efficient and effective support service to all wards, and departments in North Bristol NHS Trust acting in a caring and professional manner and working in line with Estates and Facilities Services and departmental operating procedures.
Main duties of the job
o Ensuring AGV's are dispatched to the agreed scheduleo Loading AGV roll cage, ensuring the cage has the correct AGV transponder cards
o Ensure that all AGV transponder cards are returned to R&D and are stored in the agreed manner.
o Checking allocated equipment prior to use and ensure all faults are reported to the patient support team leaders as they develop.
o The ability to analyse and use information relevant to the role.
o Good inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
o The ability to organise oneself and one's work so that duties are completed within deadlines and conform to organisational and legal requirements.
o Consider health and safety implications involved in duties and their potential effect on others.
o Ensuring that safety instructions are complied with when using equipment.

Be responsible for maintaining productive working relationships with all levels of Trust staff and external providers. To be able to communicate effectively using both written and verbal skills. The ability to analyse and use information relevant to the role. Good inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. The ability to organise oneself and ones work so that duties are completed within deadlines and conform to organisational and legal requirements. Responsible for ensuring the place of work is left secure at all times by strictly adhering to any Trust or local security procedures in place for the facility. Report any damages and shortages in deliveries Ensuring AGVs are dispatched to the agreed schedule

Attendance at relevant statutory and non-statutory training, e.g. fire safety, food safety.

To wear clean official uniform and appropriate footwear and comply with Departmental and Trust policies relating to the wearing of jewellery, nail polish etc
