Main duties of the job
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing strong, proactive leadership as the nurse in charge of the shift
- Supporting and developing junior staff, students, and new starters
- Ensuring safe and effective patient care within a fast-paced clinical environment
- Coordinating admissions, discharges, and patient flow
- Acting as a role model for compassionate, inclusive, and evidence-based practice
- Managing clinical risk, escalation, and decision-making with confidence
What We're Looking For - A registered nurse with substantial post-registration experience
- Previous experience within endocrine, hepatology, or gastroenterology services would be advantageous.
- Proven leadership ability with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Teaching or mentorship qualification is desirable.
- A commitment to professional development, service improvement, and patient safety
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative, supportive team environment
