Main duties of the job

Are you:

  • Excited at the prospect of supporting our Trust by serving food in either our Staff Restaurant or Ward Level Patient Meal Service?
  • Able to play a key role in our catering team, which may include the following duties:
  • Preparing vegetables, fruit, salads, sandwiches, toast, beverages and other food items
  • Working as a Pot Wash and supporting the catering stores area
  • Working as a ward operative, preparing and serving food directly to patients'
  • Working as a kitchen porter, providing additional support as required in our catering preparation unit
  • Supporting services within the Coffee Shop both Barista and Serving customers
  • Providing services within the staff Restaurant including serving food, cleaning of restaurant areas, washing up duties
  • Cooking and preparation of basic food items within both CPU and the main Staff Restaurant
  • Handling cash and the ability to use a cash till.

  • Preparing, pre-wrapping and date stamping and pricing as appropriate menu items, e.g., salads, sandwiches, some cold sweets, cheese and biscuits etc.
  • Preparing of workstations for the service of meals
