Job summary
North Bristol NHS Trust is looking to recruit a reliable, motivated Decontamination Assistant to join the Technical Office team at Southmead Hospital.
This is a full-time post (37.5 hours per week) requiring flexibility to work a range of evening and night shift patterns.
The role will involve working one of the following shift patterns these shifts are fixed and no alternative shifts will be available following employment offer
- 14:00 - 22:00, Wednesday to Sunday
- 22:00 - 06:00, Tuesday to Saturday
- 18:00 - 02:00, Wednesday to Sunday
- 16:00 - 00:00, Thursday to Sunda

Main duties of the job
Training Requirements
A minimum training plan will be in place for this role.The successful applicant must be available for an initial 3-week training period, which will take place Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.Following successful completion of training, the post will continue on a shift-pattern basis as outlined above.
Role Information
The Decontamination Assistant will support the safe and effective operation of decontamination services, ensuring compliance with Trust policies, national standards, and infection prevention requirements.
The role has physical demands, including manual handling activities and prolonged periods of standing, and includes contact with surgical instruments used in clinical procedures.
