An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team at the Breast care unit as an Enhanced practitioner. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert, patient-centered care to individuals across the Breast care unit supporting them through screening, diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Working closely within a Multidisciplinary team, you will deliver compassionate support, tailored education, and clinical expertise to improve outcomes and empower patients and families.
We are seeking practitioners with experience in Breast care to join our team.
Main duties of the job
- Assess, differentially diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate individual treatment interventions within a set field of practice for patients by virtue of enhanced clinical judgement and close liaison with members of the MDT
- Use expertise and decision-making skills to inform clinical reasoning approaches when dealing with individual presentations and complex situations, synthesising information from multiple sources to make appropriate, evidence-based judgements and/or diagnoses.
- Initiate, evaluate, and modify a range of interventions which may include prescribing medicines, therapies, lifestyle advice and care.
- Provide specialist, expert clinical knowledge to colleagues, patients and carers/relatives both within and outside the Trust.
- Exercise professional judgement to manage risk appropriately, especially where there may be complex and unpredictable events and supporting teams to do likewise to ensure safety of individuals, families, and carers.
- Ensure compliance with their respective code of professional conduct and work within their scope of practice.

Clinical Practice

- To Work in partnership with individuals, families, and carers, using a range of assessment methods as appropriate (e.g., of history-taking; holistic assessment; identifying risk factors; mental health assessments; requesting, undertaking and conducting health needs assessments, physical examination, clinical measurements using advanced clinical skills, detailed medicines history, undertaking and interpreting range of tests / investigations and develop management plan including onward referrals and management plans
- Uses highly developed communication skills to provide guidance, advice, and support to the individual /carer regarding management of their health/illness condition and its impact on individuals/carers life
- To present and discuss own patient cases at the multidisciplinary team meetings, regarding diagnostic findings and any further ongoing care that is required.
