Job summary
To be responsible for the collation, collection and inputting of the patient activity data required to monitor and quality assure complex knee service in the trust.
Also to carry out all administrative duties, in relation to the complex knee pathway, ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
To prospectively track the patient pathway using the Tracking and Escalation procedure.
Main duties of the job
The ability to process and check large sets of data, running quality checks to identify any gaps in individual patient records and ensuring all missing data is retrieved and entered into the database. Facilitation of STAR Care pathway (Support & treatment After Joint Replacement). Identify suitable patients through screening, facilitation, delivery & organisation of the assessment clinics & management of clinic letters & referrals.
The skills to have the flexibility and confidence to work independently unsupervised and on own initiative in departments and clinics across the two hospital sites.
The ability to liaise with various specialist teams, clinical coders, medical records staff, pathologists, radiologists etc. both within NBT and those in external organisations.
The skills to ensure suitability and practicality of new computerised systems, evaluating them at the discretion of the management, and checking whether these meet the needs of collation and collection of minimum datasets To be responsible for the efficient collection of the Complex Knee Waiting Times and minimum datasets, and entry of this information onto the database.
