Senior Physiotherapist - Rotational - fixed term

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to offer fixed term rotational physiotherapy positions, based at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Rotations include:

  • Trauma and Orthopaedics
  • Vascular, Surgery and Renal
  • Critical Care
  • Medicine - Frailty, Acute Respiratory, Specialist Medicine, Older Persons Team
  • Burns and Plastics
  • Stroke
  • Neurosciences

Main duties of the job

- Assessment and management of a varied and complex acute caseload.

- Support the clinical lead with the running of the team

- Delegate work to team members including therapy support workers

- As a senior member of staff this position will help with the day to day running of the wards and support other junior members of staff including students.

- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team

- To participate in service improvement projects, to work towards the departmental objectives

- This position will also participate in weekend working and on call services.

North Bristol Trust is a major trauma centre, regional centre for burns and plastics, neurosciences, elective orthopaedic surgery and vascular surgery. This provides staff with the opportunity to become highly skilled in the assessment and treatment of extremely complex patients.

- Be able to work individually and/or as part of an MDT
