Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with previous health or social care experience to support ourelective orthopaedic team in providing occupational therapy to patients preoperatively and on the ward. This is a fast paced environment with short lengths of stay for patients undergoing a range of joint replacement surgeries.
Main duties of the job
Under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist, you will work with patients on the wards and in therapy areas to provide a range of interventions to facilitate recovery and promote independence. This will include supporting individuals to use the toilet, wash & dress or carry out other domestic tasks.
This role also supports the pre-operative clinics and assessments. Some of this is completed over the phone and includes associated clinic administration on digital hospital systems.

- Treat patients within acute specialties, providing a range of interventions to facilitate recovery and promote independence.
