Physiotherapy Support Workers Band 3.
We have vacancies for physiotherapy support workers in one of the UK's largest NHS Hospital Trusts. These roles will support patients to regain their mobility, function and confidence following surgery, or illness, providing a range of therapy interventions to facilitate recovery and promote independence.
Our current vacancies are in the Vascular, Surgery and Renal team and in the Trauma and Orthopaedic team.
Main duties of the job

- Working with a wide variety of patients across the wards
- Working alongside physiotherapists to deliver therapy to patients and improving patients' independence
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate discharge home from hospital (home is best)
- Working within the physiotherapy teams where support and training will be provided
The successful therapy support worker will have
- Previous care experience NHS or similar social care equivalent
- NVQ level 3 or experiential learning experience/ competency to a similar level.
- Experience of working well within a team.
- An ability to organise own caseload.
- Experience of working under in- direct supervision

- Treating patients referred by physiotherapists. Tasks include organising and implementing physical treatment sessions from treatment protocols, monitoring patient progress.
