Job summary
The Bristol, Bath & Weston AAA Screening programme is part of a National Screening programme, aimed at men aged 65 and over.
We are seeking a screening technician to undertake abdominal ultrasound scanning within community settings such as GP surgeries.
The successful applicant will undertake ultrasound training to ensure standards of scanning are met in accordance with national standard operating procedures. If not already NAAASP qualified, this will involve successful completion of the AAA Health Screeners Diploma Qualification. Experience in ultrasound is advantageous but is not necessary, however applicants must have a good basic education and the willingness to work towards full qualification within a reasonable timeframe.
This is a 12 month fixed term, part time post working 22.5 hours per week.
Applicants must have a clean driving license and the use of a car with business insurance, as you will be required to use your own transport each day, to attend screening venues throughout the Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath & Weston area.
